Police Say Boy Grabbed The Tip Jar From A Daytona Pizza Place & Ran Off

Daytona Beach, FL – Daytona Beach police are looking for a suspect, possibly age 15 to 17, who they say grabbed the tip jar from a pizza place in Daytona Beach and ran off.

The theft occurred at about 2:30 PM Wednesday at Pantheon Pizza at 505 White St. in Daytona Beach. Officials say that a black juvenile, about 6 feet tall, walked into the restaurant and approached the counter. He grabbed the tip jar, which contained about $75 and ran out of the building.

According to police reports, the cashier reported that she pursued the suspect but lost sight of the boy near Colfax Rd. She said he was accompanied by four other boys.

The suspect had dyed dreadlocks on the top of his head, and his head was shaved on the side, according to police reports. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and jeans. Police canvassed the area for the suspect, but he could not be found.

Police are not releasing any photos or videos of the suspect at this time.
