Holly Hill, FL – 10/9/17 8:30 AM Update: Investigators at the Holly Hill Police Department have found the vehicle involved in Sunday afternoon's shooting and have a person of interest in custody.

Late Sunday afternoon investigators found the convertible Mini Cooper involved in the shooting in the driveway of a home at 1495 Center Ave. The owner of the vehicle, Robert Hofius-Castaneda, was contacted by investigators and initially denied any knowledge of, or involvement in, Sunday's shooting. He did, however, let officers take his vehicle to a secure location for processing.

Due to the strong smell of marijuana coming from the house, a search warrant was secured. Officers found narcotics in the house so Hofius-Castaneda was arrested, along with Jason Fox, on unrelated drug charges.

When he was interviewed at the police station, Hofius-Castaneda eventually admitted to driving his Mini Cooper while a man named Jeffery fired three shots at the victim, identified as Carl Arnold, while stopped at 10th St. and Center Ave. Hofius-Castaneda said that he drove Jeffery there to look for Arnold, but he said he didn't know why Jeffery shot at him.

Hofius-Castaneda told investigators where they could find the weapon used in the shooting and admitted that he was the owner firearm. The gun was found at Hofius-Castaneda's home and was collected for further processing.

Hofius-Castaneda also admitted to trying to hide his Mini Cooper with a tarp after the shooting.

The identity of the co-defendant, Jeffery, has not yet been determined.
