Man Robs 7-Eleven In Ormond Beach, Tries To Hide Face With His Shirt

Ormond Beach, FL - The Ormond Beach Police Department is asking for the public's help as they search for the man that robbed the 7-Eleven Convenience Store on Granada Blvd. Officers were called to the 7-Eleven at 1950 W Granada Blvd at around 3:50 AM on Saturday, May 13th, in reference to the robbery. Police searched the area but were unable to find the suspect. Investigators say the white male suspect with black hair walked into the store and tried to hide his face by pulling his shirt over his head. He asked the clerk if there was money in the register then reached into his pants. The clerk thought he had a gun so she ran to the back office. When the clerk left the register, the suspect jumped over the counter and stole the cash register drawer. The suspect left the store with the cash register drawer in hand. The drawer was found, empty, in a shopping center parking lot to the east.
