Police say the American Yorkshire pig was found on the northbound exit ramp of I-95 at MM 261 just before 7PM Thursday night. The boar was rooting around the exit ramp and is estimated at 200 pounds. The pig had cuts to both ears for identification and was not afraid of people. The animal control vehicle that came to the scene was not big enough to transport the pig and a larger livestock trailer was dispatched from VCSO Range Unit 5. The pig is at Halifax Humane Society where it will stay until the owner can be identified. The pig pictured below and above is the lost pig.
