Daytona Beach, FL - Daytona Beach Police SWAT used tear gas to end a standoff today on North Beach Street. Negotiators had established "limited communication" this morning with someone inside a residence in the barricade situation at 552 North Beach Street in Daytona Beach after a battery was reported to police. The victim told police she had an argument with 56-year-old Paul Christopher Anderson about sex, then he grabbed her throat then cut her finger with a knife. Anderson refused to leave his apartment when police arrived on scene and threatened to overdose on pills. Tear gas was deployed inside the apartment, forcing Anderson out. He was treated on scene and brought to Halifax Hospital. The scene was near Taylor Avenue. Anderson is in custody and facing charges of Aggravated Battery and Lewd and Lascivious Behavior. Police say he may have also sent the teen an inappropriate picture of himself. img_0949 img_0952 2016 Southern Stone Communications Copyright
