City Commission Approves $25.75M In Reimbursable Funds For Improving East ISB

Daytona Beach, FL – Update: The Daytona Beach City Commission has unanimously approved $25.75 million in reimbursable funding for a project designed to improve East International Speedway Blvd.

The Daytona Beach City Commission will meet and a proposal for improving East International Speedway (ISB) is on the agenda.

The City Commission meeting is scheduled for March 15 at 6:00 PM at the City Commission Chambers, 301 S. Ridgewood Ave., Daytona Beach.

The Volusia/Flagler Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) is asking the City Commission to approve $750,000 of reimbursable funds for the design and engineering of the project as well as a $25 million reimbursable advance for its funding.

The City has planned an updated agreement between them and the TPO to begin improvements on ISB.

The City of Daytona Beach, Florida Department of Transportation, the TPO, and several local investors who are collaborating for this project will talk about the details of their proposal at the meeting.
