Flagler County, FL-A suspect is in custody in connection to an armed robbery at a Walgreens on Palm Coast Parkway early Tuesday morning. Flagler County Sheriff’s investigators say that the suspect may also have attempted a burglary at a pharmacy in Bunnell.

Matthew Green allegedly pointed a firearm at a pharmacist at the Walgreens around 6 A.M. Deputies say he got two bottles of prescription painkillers, fled on foot and got into a nearby vehicle. Review of surveillance video enabled investigators to track Green to his home at 104 S. Anderson St. and arrest him at 2 P.M.

Both Green and the gun have been positively identified from the robbery. He’s also a suspect in an attempted burglary at Bunnell Pharmacy. That incident took place prior to the Walgreens robbery.

Green is charged with armed robbery, grand theft of a firearm and grand theft. If you have information about either of these crimes, please call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-8477. You may remain anonymous and can be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
