Palm Coast, FL - The Palm Coast Fire Department fought a house fire on Folcroft Lane in Palm Coast on Wednesday night that appears to have been started by a motorcycle parked in the garage.

Engines 24, 21, 22, Battalion 21, Flagler County Fire Rescue Ladder 41 and FCFR Rescue 22 worked the residential fire, which was reported at around 6 PM on March 15. The blaze caused extensive damage to the home at 38 Folcroft Ln. "Our firefighters knocked down the flames from the front of the garage and then made an aggressive interior fire attack to get a good stop on the fire and save a good portion of the contents of the residence," said Palm Coast Fire Department Engine 24 Captain Kyle Berryhill.

No one was hurt in the fire, but the Detherow family of 5, which includes a Marine veteran, was displaced. PCFD and the Flagler County Sheriff's Office helped get them in touch with the local chapter of the American Red Cross.

The State Fire Marshal is investigating the blaze.
