Daytona Beach, FL – According to the latest report, passenger traffic at Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) has increased.

A comparison of passenger traffic in July 2016 and July 2017 shows a 7.4% increase. 60,262 passengers flew in and out of DAB in July 2016 and 64,746 passengers flew through DAB in July 2017.

“July traffic numbers marked another notable increase this summer,” said Rick Karl, DAB Director. “Load factor increases – the number of available seats – for Delta and JetBlue were again the driving force behind the growth in July.”

The total number of passengers in the last year has risen 6% with 711,897 traveling through DAB this year and 671,651 in 2016.

“With capacity, load factors and passenger traffic all trending up, along with an additional daily flight for Delta anticipated to commence in October, we expect data for the second half of the year to remain positive," said Karl.
