Flagler County, FL – A motorcyclist was critically injured after he was separated from his motorcycle during a crash on Palm Coast Parkway.
At around 8:50 PM on Monday, David M. Shute, 47, was seen on his 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycle stopped at a stoplight in the right turning lane at Old Kings Road. Shute made a right turn on red and began to travel westbound on Palm Coast Parkway.
For an unknown reason, Shute laid his motorcycle down on his life side, causing the motorcycle to slide west on Palm Coast Parkway. Shute separated from his bike and was thrown a short distance away from where his bike landed, blocking the right westbound lane of Palm Coast Parkway.
FHP is investigating the crash and, at this time, it is not known if alcohol was involved. Shute was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center with critical injuries.
