Palm Coast, FL - A 60-year-old Palm Coast man was killed Sunday after he was pinned between the driver's door and the frame of his Chevy pickup truck after coming home from a grocery run.

Flagler County deputies responded to a home on Biscay Ln. in Palm Coast at about 5:02 PM Sunday. They say Roger Lynn Teachworth was found dead after being caught between the door and the body of the truck. A neighbor had reported the incident after finding Teachworth cold to the touch and blue in color, according to Sheriff's Office reports.

The truck was found halfway out of the garage and partially in the driveway. The passenger door was also open, and the passenger window of the truck was busted in. The neighbor had reported that Teachworth was wedged between the garage and the truck door, Sheriff's Office reports say.

Florida Highway Patrol says Teachworth had been coming home with groceries in hand, and he never placed the vehicle out of gear.

Teachworth's girlfriend of 18 years arrived on scene and was advised of his death. She was the only "close family" Teachworth had, and she declined any further assistance, according to deputies.
