Palm Coast, FL - A 46-year-old Palm Coast man has been indicted for first-degree murder in the death of his ex-wife. Michael Cummings was indicted by a Grand Jury on one count of first-degree murder on Tuesday. Cummings was arrested on January 16th and charged with second-degree murder in the death of his ex-wife, 44-year-old Faith Lorraine Cummings, who was found beaten and strangled at her Palm Coast home on January 11. “At the time of the arrest we had probable cause to arrest Michael Cummings for second-degree murder,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “We had hoped that the investigation and court proceedings would result in an increased charge, which happened today. I hope this brings some peace to Faith’s family.” The new charge was served to Cummings at the Flagler County Detention Facility, where he's been held since January 15, 2018. He'll continue to be held without bond.
