Palm Coast, FLUpdate: The firearm used in Saturday's shooting on Fulton Drive in Palm Coast has been found in the suspect's vehicle. It has been entered into evidence at the Flagler County Sheriff's Office. Earlier Reporting: It took Flagler deputies only 30 minutes to put one Palm Coast man behind bars after he allegedly shot a neighbor in the abdomen and led police on a frantic chase Saturday afternoon. Nineteen-year-old Levi Evan Ovenshire of Palm Coast was arrested after police say he was connected to a shooting at Fulton Place, where another 19-year-old man was found on his garage floor with a gunshot wound to the abdomen at approximately 1:15 PM. Fifteen minutes later, police saw Ovenshire driving onto Royal Palms Parkway from Town Center Blvd. Multiple officers attempted to stop Ovenshire with stop sticks and a tire deflation device, but he drove around them and was throwing items out of his car to avoid them. Ovenshire was ultimately caught when he crashed his vehicle near the woods at the intersection of Raleigh Dr. and Rae Dr. The entire incident from the time of the initial 911 call to the time Ovenshire was put into custody lasted 30 minutes. The victim was airlifted to Halifax Health in Daytona Beach with life-threatening injuries. "I hope the victim makes a full recovery, and I'm thankful that no one else was injured during the pursuit of this dirtbag," Flagler Sheriff Rick Staly says. "He was driving like a maniac trying to get away, so I'm glad that none of my deputies or (other) people in our community were hurt." Ovenshire lived in the same development as the victim, but the shooting is still under investigation, and the reason behind the shooting is still unclear. Ovenshire is charged with Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding and is currently being held at the Flagler County Detention Facility.
