VCSO spokesman Gary Davidson says both have confessed to the robbery Tuesday. Deputies say 30-year-old Charlie Bishop left behind fingerprints at the crime scene on the counter at the store. Bishop, deputies say, pointed a gun at a female clerk during the crime and she was able to pick his photo out of a line-up. The clerk, wrote the investigator in his report, “got chills as a result of seeing the suspect in box 5.” Deputies say Bishop confessed and also implicated his girlfriend, 25-year-old Charvikka Wiley. Bishop told investigators she was waiting for him in the getaway vehicle nearby. When asked by investigators if she was in on it, Bishop responded: “She was down with it. She loves me.” Bishop is charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and petty theft. He additionally was charged with violation of probation and was being held without bond at the Volusia County Branch Jail in Daytona Beach. Wiley was being booked into the jail on a charge of being a principal to armed robbery. Her bond was initially set at $30,000. Both Bishop and Wiley live in Daytona Beach. Sheriff’s investigators have recovered the gun and the clothes that Bishop wore during the robbery.
