Ormond Man Faces Multiple Charges For Allegedly Killing His Fiancee

gavel Ormond Beach, FL - An Ormond Beach man has been indicted by a Volusia County grand jury for first-degree murder and 2 counts of child neglect for the killing of his fiance and for leaving her 2 children, ages 1 and 2, stranded in a parking lot in the middle of the night. On Friday, September 9, 2016, 35-year-old Jamal Kareem Davis was indicted for first-degree murder in the shooting and killing of 24-year-old Justine Clawson. She was found in her Victoria Gardens apartment on Dunlawton Ave in Port Orange by her father around 1:13 AM on August 27, 2016. Davis was also indicted on 2 counts of child neglect for allegedly leaving Clawson's 2 children, ages 1 and 2, at a shopping center on Nova Rd before he drove into a tree in an attempt to commit suicide.
