Ormond Beach Police Looking For Man Who Robbed A Friends Bank

Ormond Beach, FL - Ormond Beach Police are looking for a man they say robbed a Friends Bank. The robbery happened just before 12:38 PM on Thursday at the Friends Bank located at 208 S. Nova Rd. in Ormond Beach. The bank's security company observed security feed of employees with their hands up, and the company contacted law enforcement. When Ormond Beach Police arrived on scene, they were told that a black man passed a note to a teller demanding money. The man implied that he had a weapon and forced two employees into the vault. The suspect left through the front door with an undisclosed amount of money. The man was wearing dark rain style rubber boots, blue jeans, a yellow shirt, and a dark baseball style cap with dark mesh material, according to Ormond Beach Police. He had pulled the mesh material up around his face during the robbery. Officers, with the help of VCSO Air 1 and Daytona Beach K-9, conducted a search for the man, but he has yet to be located.
