Orange City, FL - Detectives have made an arrest in the armed robbery of an Orange City bank earlier this month.

The Orange City Police Department is charging 49-year-old Antonio D. Evans of Bartow in that incident on January 11th at the Space Coast Credit Union branch inside the Walmart on Veterans Memorial Parkway.

OCPD Lieutenant Jason Sampsell says Evans has been identified as the man who flashed a gun at a teller while demanding money.

"With the assistance from the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Evans was arrested at his home in Bartow without incident," Sampsell added. "He is currently waiting extradition to Volusia County."

Evans will be held without bond once he is extradited from Polk County on a charge of robbery with a firearm, per Sampsell.
