Orange City Man Dies In I-95 Crash Involving 3 Vehicles

Posted

Edgewater, FL  - A 49-year-old Orange City man is dead after an early Sunday morning crash at mile marker 241 on I-95.

At 12:30 AM, a Hyundai Sonata was traveling northbound in the left lane of 95. The driver lost control of the vehicle for an unknown reason and hit a semi truck traveling in the right lane. That semi truck hit a Dodge pickup truck, and the driver of the pickup truck was ejected out of the vehicle and died at the scene underneath the semi truck.

Alcohol is not expected to be a factor for any of the drivers involved. Twenty-three-year- old Ramil Medor of Orlando and 54-year-old Delroy Dabois of West Palm Beach sustained only minor injuries and were both wearing seat belts. Medor was driving the Sonata, and Dabois was driving the semi truck. The driver of the pickup truck was not wearing a seat belt. Police are not yet releasing the name of that driver until family can be notified.

The crash is still under investigation at this point, and charges are still pending.
