Orange City E-Cig Store Robbed At Gunpoint; VCSO Searching For Suspect

Orange City, FL – The search is on for the man who held up an E-Cig store near Orange City on Friday afternoon.

No shots were fired and no one was hurt during the robbery which happened just before 4 PM at E-Cig Source on N Volusia Ave. When the suspect burst into the store there was only 1 employee working and no customers inside. The suspect pointed a gun at the employee and demanded money. He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash from the money drawer and fled the scene in a vehicle.

Volusia County Sheriff’s Office deputies got to the scene around 3:53 PM and searched for the getaway vehicle along with K-9 units.

The suspect was described as an older white man about 5’6″ tall with an average build. At the time of the robbery he was wearing khaki pants, a dark-colored zip-up hoodie, a grey undershirt, glasses, and a baseball hat. He was hiding his face with a rag. What can be seen of him in surveillance video makes him look like a 50 to 60 year old man with light colored hair. The getaway vehicle is a dark tinted late model Toyota RAV4 or Honda CRV, according to VCSO.
