OneBlood Reschedules Blood Drive Following Response To Orlando Shooting

New Smyrna Beach, FL - OneBlood's blood drive scheduled for Friday, June 17th has been rescheduled due to the overwhelming response for blood donations after the mass shooting in Orlando.

"It's a wonderful thing that we're seeing so many people coming out and wanting to help in this time of great need," said Volusia County Community Information Specialist Pat Kuehn.

The blood drive will now be held on Friday, July 8th. OneBlood's Big Red Bus will be available for donations from 11 AM to 4 PM in the parking lot of the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library at 1001 S. Dixie Freeway.

Walk-ins are welcome, but donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment. To make an appointment, go to oneblood.org and click on "where to donate."

OneBlood is a non-profit organization that provides blood to 213 hospital partners and their patients throughout central and south Florida and the panhandle.
