Teen Charged With Reckless Driving In Pursuit Through Palm Coast

Palm Coast, FL-Deputies say a 16-year-old is charged after he allegedly ran from law enforcement in a car chase Tuesday that went through multiple sections of Palm Coast. The suspect, according to deputies, hit another vehicle sending the driver of that car to the hospital. It all started when deputies tried to stop the driver on Pine Hurst Lane after his vehicle nearly hit two unmarked FCSO vehicles just before 2:30PM. The driver took off and failed to stop for several traffic control devices. Deputies pursued the vehicle through parts of the "R" and "W" sections of Palm Coast before breaking off the chase. At the intersection of Royal Palms and Belle Terre, the vehicle hit another car and continued on. The driver of that vehicle was taken to Florida Hospital Flagler for treatment. A short time later, the vehicle was spotted from the air by the Flagler County Fire Flight helicopter in the area of Wellwood Lane and Wellhaven Lane. Deputies arriving at the scene set up a perimeter and located the driver in the nearby wood line. An FCSO K-9 was used to locate the suspect. The suspect is 16-year-old Elijah Desimore of Palm Coast. He is charged with counts including felony aggravated fleeing. He was booked into the county jail and turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice. 2016 Southern Stone Communications Copyright
