Daytona Beach, FL - One of the newest inductees to the FBI's 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list is spotted in Central Florida.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation announced yesterday that 46-year-old
Greg Alyn Carlson was added to their 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list for his alleged involvement in multiple armed sexual assaults.
Carlson was charged with a 2017 burglary in Los Angeles, California, that turned into a violent sexual assault against a female victim.
Carlson was arrested by local authorities on September 3rd last year for that attack and was charged with burglary, assault with intent to commit rape, and assault with a deadly weapon. Three weeks later, he posted bond, was released, and fled.
Carlson went to a family home in South Carolina and left there with a stolen pistol, a rental car and a cash. Later that year, he was spotted in Alabama where he led police on a high-speed chase that was ultimately called off because it posed a danger to the public. A week later, the fugitive was seen in Jacksonville and Daytona Beach.
He was traveling in a stolen white, four-door 2017 Hyundai Accent rental car with South Carolina license plate
NKI 770. He is 5’11” and weighs approximately 170 pounds, and has brown hair and green eyes.
FBI is offering up to $100,000 for information leading to his capture. They urge people to not approach Carlson as he may still be armed and dangerous.
