Officials Say Daytona Beach Hotels Will Be Back To Normal For Biketoberfest

Posted

Daytona Beach, FL - Just days after Hurricane Irma passed to the west of Daytona Beach, visitors are wondering what’s open, what’s closed and whether they should travel to the Daytona Beach area.

"More power is being restored to the area by the hour and most hotels are already fully up and running. Make no mistake, we will be more than ready to host our Biketoberfest® visitors next month. Can't wait!” said Lori Campbell Baker, executive director of the Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB).

The CVB recommends that visitors contact hotels directly with questions about reservations.  Many hotels are open with more reopening soon. Phone and power outages are being restored quickly, and these seem to be the biggest issues (vs. damage).

The CVB has posted a Hotel Assessment List on DaytonaBeach.com that provides status information about area lodging properties.  This list is being updated as new information is received.

Plans to welcome more than 100,000 visitors for the 25th Anniversary of Biketoberfest®, the annual motorcycle rally October 19-22 are proceeding and in full swing. More information about Biketoberfest® activities is available at Biketoberfest.org.
