crime scene outdoor with tree Holly Hill, FL - Two vehicles were engulfed in flames this morning, one of them a marked VCSO Patrol vehicle, and officials are investigating the possibility of arson. The Holly Hill Police Department responded to the scene around 4:23 this morning in a fenced compound behind Aamco Transmissions at 134 Mason Ave. When they arrived, 2 vehicles were completely engulfed in flames - one of them a marked VCSO Patrol vehicle. The fire was quickly put out by fire units from Holly Hill and Daytona Beach, and damage was confined to the 2 vehicles. Initial estimates put the damage done at $20,000. A black Mercury SUV with a broken passenger window was found near the scene of the vehicle fire. A red gas can was found a few feet away from that SUV, and the police report stated that "Officers were able to detect a strong odor of gasoline coming from inside this vehicle." Due to the nature of the fire and the strong odor of an accelerant, the Holly Hill Police Department is conducting a joint investigation with the State Fire Marshall's Office and VCSO. 14435127_1192066050832595_7555889456812401161_o 14435387_1192066054165928_5961298018318100182_o 14445102_1192066547499212_327973569107355329_o 14468157_1192066047499262_4210247876565189774_o
