OBPD: Port Orange Man Dead After Motorcycle Crashes Into Telephone Pole

Ormond Beach, FL - The Ormond Beach Police Department is investigating a motorcycle crash that left 1 man dead Friday night.

The crash occurred in the 200 block of Ocean Shore Blvd., Friday, March 31, near 11:30 PM, when a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed left the roadway and hit a telephone pole.

The driver of the motorcycle, Zachariah Warner, 18, of Port Orange, was transported to Halifax Hospital by the VCSO helicopter. Warner later died of his injuries.

Florida Power and Light is currently on scene in the 200 block of Ocean Shore Blvd. to replace the broken pole. The road is currently closed for this repair.
