Oak Hill, FL- An accident in Oak Hill on Friday night ended the life of one woman and injured the driver of a second vehicle.

Volusia County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, Andrew Gant, said, “The crash happened around 8:47 p.m. in the area of 390 N.U.S. 1.”  The woman who died is 38-year-old Jennifer Lynn Foster of Oak Hill.

The incident reports that the vehicle Foster was driving broke down.  Two people were pushing Foster’s vehicle off the road when another vehicle crashed into it. Foster was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle, 23-year-old William Seegar, also of Oak Hill, was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center, with non-life-threatening injuries. The two people pushing Foster’s vehicle were not injured.

U.S. 1 was shut down for a period of time.  The crash is being investigated but Gant said, “The evidence does not suggest that excessive speed or impairment were factors in the crash.”
