Volusia County, FL - We're in store for a chilly weekend as a cold front's expected to push through Volusia County bringing highs below 70 and lows in the 40s.

"Well looks like the strongest cold front of the season so far will be pushing through Central Florida including Volusia County," said Tony Cristaldi, Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Melbourne. "We're looking at a significant cool down behind the front."

That cold front's expected to swing through on Saturday night, bringing lows around 50, maybe mid to upper 40s in the northwest part of the county. "On Sunday we're only looking at a high in the upper 60s," added Cristaldi. "And then Sunday night temperatures are getting down to about 45 degrees, maybe closer to 40 out towards Lake George. And then that cool air will continue into Monday with only a high around 70 degrees, then we begin a slow warm up for the middle of the week with temperatures getting back up to normal by Wednesday."

According to Cristaldi, the cold front's going to be pretty dry, but he anticipates some pretty strong wind gusts on Saturday night and Sunday. Those gusts could get as strong as 30 mph.
