NSB Police Nab Car Burglary Suspect After He's Caught In The Act By Owner

New Smyrna Beach, FL-Police in New Smyrna Beach quickly nabbed a car burglary suspect today after the owner says he caught the criminal in the act. Police responded to the 400 block of Florida Avenue around 8:24 AM when the owner said he saw the suspect inside the vehicle. The suspect took off on foot toward the beach. The owner gave a good description of the suspect to officers and members of Volusia County Beach Safety and they canvassed the area. The suspect was caught about 15 minutes later in the area of the Flagler parking lot. The owner positively identified the suspect. Police say the suspect is 16-years-old.
