NSB Police Need Help Identifying Suspects Who Robbed A New Smyrna Hotel

New Smyrna Beach, FL – Update: New Smyrna Beach Police need help identifying the suspects involved in the armed robbery of the Islander Beach Club. Security camera footage shows two black males believed to be in their 20s robbing the front desk woman. One is wearing a white mask and a multicolored jacket and the other is wearing a t-shirt and a black track jacket.

Earlier Reporting: New Smyrna Beach Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Islander Beach Club hotel early Sunday morning. Around 3:30 AM Sunday, police responded to the Islander Beach Club hotel located at 1601 S. Atlantic Avenue. Police were advised that two black males, one with a white mask over his face and the other with a t-shirt over his head, walked into the lobby. One of the suspects was holding a semi-automatic pistol and ordered the person at the front desk to face away from them. While holding the woman at gunpoint, the men looked for property to steal and ended up taking the woman’s purse before they fled in an unknown vehicle. During the robbery, no shots were fired and no one was injured. If you have information about the robbery, you are asked to contact Investigator Diffin at 386-424-2246.
