Ponce Inlet, FL - Racing fans can celebrate racing history alongside some of the famous cars at the famed North Turn. The 8th annual Historic North Turn Legends Beach Parade is set to start tomorrow (February 9th) at 2:30 p.m. in front of Racing's North Turn Restaurant, located off of 4511 South Atlantic Avenue. Vintage race cars will run down Atlantic Avenue, making the turn south onto the World's Most Famous Beach, before ending at the original North Turn. Some of the stars that will be part of the race include International Speedway Corporation COO Joie Chitwood III, NASCAR Vice Chairman Mike Helton, among 50 other drivers. Helton will be driving a 1953 Oldsmobile, a replica built by Bill Blair Jr., the son of Bill Blair, who drove to victory that year in Daytona Beach. One other star appearance will include Vicki Wood, who is famed for being the "Fastest Woman on the Beach." She will lead the parade as Grand Marshal in a special T-Bird Pace Car. Wood will also be celebrating her 100th birthday. Prior to the parade, Racing's North Turn will host driver autograph sessions and interviews, conducted by Danny "Chocolate" Myers, a Sirius XM radio broadcaster and former gas man for Dale Earnhardt Sr. Votran will also provide free shuttle service from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Spectators who want to use the Votran service to and from the north and south turn beach ramps should park at either Toronita Avenue Beach Park, located off of 4200 South Atlantic Avenue in Wilbur-By-The-Sea or Jerry's Italian Grill & Tiki Bar, found off 33 Inlet Harbor Road in Ponce Inlet.
