Next Volusia County Council Meeting Set For Thursday Morning

Volusia County, FL - The next meeting of the Volusia County Council (VCC) is scheduled for March 16 and public participation is encouraged.

The VCC meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month, on the 2nd floor of the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, 123 W. Indiana Ave., DeLand.

All VCC meetings are open to the public. Meetings are called to order at 9 AM. Public participation is at 8:30 AM. Arrive early to complete public participation slips.

At the March 16 VCC meeting several items will be covered, such as those concerning: Airport Services; Economic Development; Parks, Recreation and Culture; Human Resources; Environmental Management; Planning and Development Services; Leadership - Community Information; Public Protection - Emergency Management; and Public Works.

The Sheriff's Office budget resolution grants for the '2017-18 Excellence in Sexual Assault Response Project' and the '2017 High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area' will be discussed.
