New Smyrna Beach House Fire Does $10K In Damages; No One Hurt In The Blaze

New Smyrna Beach, FL - On Sunday afternoon, a faulty gas appliance sparked a fire at a New Smyrna Beach home that ended up causing $10,000 worth of damage.

The New Smyrna Beach Fire Department was called to the blaze at 404 Rush St at around 1:35 PM on Sunday, January 22, 2017, where crews found flames and smoke coming from the side of the house. The single occupant got out of the home before crews arrived.

The fire was extinguished by 1:56.
