New Smyrna Beach, FL - A 22-year-old New Smyrna Beach woman is facing second-degree felony charges of arson and child neglect.  New Smyrna Beach police officers say that Jawaher Mohammed set her husband's clothing on fire in the front door entrance of their home in the 2800 block of Nordman Avenue on Wednesday, just after 11 a.m. The police report states that Mohammed sent a picture of the clothing on fire to her husband, demanding a divorce and a plane ticket to her mother's home in Kentucky.  The husband, Mohamed Ali, called the police and went to the house.  He advised that his wife does not speak English very well and that they had been having marital problems. Mohammed remembered her son was inside the home as the fire began to burn out of control.  She reentered the residence and brought the boy out and walked with him away from the home.  There is no information on the boy's condition. A copy of the police report has been forwarded to the Department of Children and Families. A domestic violence packet was issued to the suspect's husband.
