New Smyrna Police Looking For Man Who Robbed A 7-Eleven At Knifepoint

New Smyrna Beach, FL - New Smyrna Beach police are looking for the man who they say used a knife to rob a 7-Eleven early Tuesday morning. According to police reports, the robbery occurred around 2:17 AM on Tuesday at the 7-Eleven located at 700 N. Dixie Freeway in New Smyrna. A white man with a blue long-sleeved shirt, a black beanie, and a gray beanie over his face, walked into the store, pointed a knife at the clerks, and demanded that the clerks hand him all the money in the register. The man told the clerks to "do what I say because I don't want to hurt anyone," according to police reports. The clerks complied, and the man fled with about $100. One of the clerks said he thought he saw the suspect head westbound on Wayne Ave., but he was unsure whether the suspect fled on foot or in a vehicle. There were no other customers in the store a the time of the robbery, and no one was injured.

The suspect was described as 5-foot-6 or 5-foot-7 with a high-pitched voice. Officials tried to track down the suspect, but he was not located. During the search, the gray beanie that the suspect was wearing over his face was found directly west of the business.
