New Smyrna Beach, FL-FHP says a 71-year-old driver killed in a head on collision on SR 44 last night was going the wrong way at the time of the accident. Troopers say Ronald Luznar of New Smyrna Beach was going southbound on 415 around 11:40 PM when he made a left turn to go east on SR 44 and, for an unknown reason, ended up driving east in the westbound lanes. He had gone about a quarter of a mile when his vehicle hit a 2016 Ford pickup truck going west driven by 28-year-old Justin Richards of New Smyrna Beach.  Richards is hospitalized in critical condition at Halifax Hospital and was wearing a seatbelt. Luznar was not wearing a seat belt. Luznar was the owner of Sopotnick's Cabbage Patch bar. 2016 Southern Stone Communications Copyright
