New Smyrna Beach, FL-Police in New Smyrna Beach have charged 59-year-old John Young with lewd acts involving a 5-year-old boy and are concerned there may be other victims.
Police went to Florida Memorial Hospital for a report of a sex offense against a child. They talked with a witness who said the boy was visiting a family friend when the alleged incident happened. The boy was lured by Young with food out of sight at the home. When the child's guardian went to check on the child Young was seen performing a sex act on the child. The woman grabbed the child, left the home and went to the hospital.
Young was located by police Wednesday evening at his home at 201 Wayne Avenue and arrested. He is charged with Lewd and Lascivious Acts on a child younger than 12.
