Volusia County, FL-More progress on local roadways as FDOT says it will begin to shift lanes overnight to open the newly revamped US 92 ramp to I-4 WB.
Lane shifts expected to begin at 8 PM Thursday night. If all goes as planned, traffic will use the ramp beginning Friday around 6 AM.
FDOT spokeswoman Jessica Ottaviano says the new ramp brings drivers onto the interstate from alongside I-4 allowing motorists to gain speed before merging.
The ramp changeover will require traffic to briefly be stopped on the US 92 ramp for striping and construction barrels to be removed. All work is weather permitting.
