Motorcyclist Rushed To Halifax Health After Crashing Into Tree In Port Orange

Port Orange, FL - A motorcyclist was rushed to Halifax Health in Daytona Beach early Thursday morning after they lost control of their bike and crashed into a tree in Port Orange.

The Port Orange Police Department was called to the 3600 block of S. Peninsula Dr. at 1:06 AM on March 15 in reference to a single motorcycle crash. Police say it looks like the motorcyclist was heading south on S. Peninsula Dr. when they lost control of their vehicle and crashed into a tree. The rider was rushed to Halifax Health as a trauma alert. Police say the name of the motorcyclist is not being released at this time.

The accident remains under investigation and POPD is asking anyone with information to contact the Police Department at 386-506-5801 or the Traffic Homicide Team at 386-506-5840.
