DeBary, FL - Traffic was snarled for hours Saturday night (December 1st) after an Apopka man died in a traffic accident.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. where Interstate 4 meets Dirksen Drive in DeBary, according to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.
VCSO spokesperson Andrew Gant says the man who died - 25-year-old Dylan J. Bryan - struck a Kia sedan while riding his motorcycle.
"A motorcycle headed westbound on Dirksen hit an eastbound Kia sedan that was turning left onto the I-4 ramp," Gant added. "The traffic signal for east- and westbound traffic was green at the time, with a flashing yellow signal for traffic turning onto I-4."
Bryan died at the scene.
Another motorcyclist suffered minor injuries while trying to avoid the accident scene, per Gant.
"The Kia driver, 80-year-old Cecilio Cruz Rivera of Orlando, was not injured," Gant noted. "He did not display any signs of impairment."
Neither motorcycle rider had a helmet on when the crash happened, according to deputies at the scene.
Investigators closed down traffic in the area for hours, including both I-4 ramps.
It's not clear at this time if charges will be filed.
