Volusia County, FL-Update: Ebony Wilkerson, the woman who drove her van with her kids in it into the ocean here in 2014, is back in custody in Volusia County. She is charged with violating the conditions of her release. She was taken into custody in Orange County earlier this week.

Earlier reporting follows: A mother who drove into the ocean in Daytona Beach with her three children two years ago is now behind bars.Ebony Wilkerson is in the Orange County Jail after the state said she violated terms of her conditional release. She has been in a facility in Lake Wales.

Wilkerson was found not guilty of child abuse by reason of insanity and had been receiving mental health treatment.  Just recently, Wilkerson asked for visitation with her children. The judge asked for a detailed plan for supervised visitation before allowing that to happen.

A motion to revoke her conditional release earlier this week said she has a history of failing to take her medication. It is not clear what treatment she might get in jail.
