Ponce Inlet, FL - The Marine Science Center in Ponce Inlet welcomed its 1 millionth visitor on Wednesday. Rahul and Brook Kolluri, who were visiting from Monroe, Louisiana, along with their two daughters, Haven, 3, and Hazel, 10 months, pushed the Marine Science Center over the mark. As a thank you, they were given a basket of goodies and a guided tour of the environmental learning center, which celebrates the Sunshine State's marine life and helps rescued sea turtles rehabilitate. The Marine Science Center opened its doors in 2002 and since then it has cared for more than 19,000 sea turtles and more than 1,300 gopher tortoises and freshwater turtles. And now, thanks to the Kolluris, they've welcomed more than a million visitors.
