'March For Our Lives' Events To Be Held At 3 Volusia County Locations

Volusia County, FL - Three locations in Volusia County will join in the more than 800 "March for Our Lives" events around the country and the world on Saturday to protest gun violence in schools and communities. According to the group's mission statement, "March for Our Lives" is "created by, inspired by, and led by students across the country."  The flagship event will be held in Washington D.C. on March 24, with sister marches around the country and the world.  The marches will be held in response to the deadly mass shooting that occurred in Parkland, FL and will seek to address the country's gun laws. More than 50 "March for Our Lives" events are scheduled in Florida. Three marches are officially scheduled in Volusia County on Saturday, March 24: two in Daytona Beach and one in New Smyrna Beach.   • West International Speedway Blvd. & S. Clyde Morris Blvd.
    • Daytona Beach: March 24, 10:00 AM
  • International Speedway Blvd. Bridge and Beach St., 100 S Beach St.
    • Daytona Beach:  March 24, 10:00 AM
  • Riverside Park, 299 South Riverside Dr.
    • New Smyrna Beach: March 24
    • Rally with local high school students at 10:00 AM; march begins at 11 AM
While it is not listed on the "March for Our Lives" website, there is also a Flagler County march scheduled in Palm Coast at the corner of Palm Coast Pkwy. and Boulder Rock Dr. at 10 AM on March 24, according to the  Democratic Women's Club of Flagler County Facebook page.
