Manpower Survey Predicts Big Local Job Growth In 2019

Daytona Beach, FL - A new survey from a global workforce solutions company shows the Volusia-Flagler job market - and Florida's - will be among the best in the nation as we kick off 2019.

The Manpower Group says 29% of American employers it surveyed are planning to add jobs during the first quarter of 2019, with only 3% percent expecting cutbacks and the rest planning to stick with current staff levels.

The Deltona metro area is expected to have the highest net job growth (37%) during that time of any other in the country.

Manpower's net employment outlook for Florida is 4% ahead of last year's numbers, with only four other states in the nation ranked higher.

The survey also predicts the United States will record its 100th consecutive month of job growth in January.
