Man Who Shot At South Daytona Police Gets 25 Year Prison Term

prison jail exterior fence tower Daytona Beach, FL-27-year-old Kyle Gullo has been sentenced to 25 years behind bars for a variety of offenses including shooting at a South Daytona police officer and leading police on a high-speed chase. The officer was not hurt. Gullo ended up crashing his vehicle into a tree to end the chase on June 17, 2015. Gullo reached speeds estimated at up to 90 MPH as he led officers in a chase that went through residential neighborhoods. Gullo entered a plea of no contest. He was charged with a laundry list of counts including aggravated assault with a firearm and fleeing and eluding law enforcement. Other cases against Gullo included burglarizing a storage unit belonging to his brother's girlfriend and selling the stolen stuff at a pawn shop. That total loss put at nearly $47,000. Gullo also was found with 127 grams of marijuana at his home when a search warrant was executed.
