Daytona Beach, FL - One man is arrested after police find out he broke into two businesses on separate occasions to steal liquor.

That's the story for 52-year-old Francis Rodriguez after Daytona Beach police say he broke into the Halifax River Yacht Club and the Peabody Auditorium at least four times.

Police first learned of Rodriguez after they received a call on January 28th from the finance director of the yacht club regarding a burglary.

She told officers that an employee's bicycle went missing, which prompted her to check the security cameras.

Upon reviewing footage, she found an unknown white male, later identified as Rodriguez, walking on the property around midnight, January 26th. Rodriguez was then seen walking around the second floor of the business, where he made his way into the kitchen area.

Rodriguez searched the kitchen area and the liquor room, before leaving the property. Later on, around 8 p.m. that same day, Rodriguez was seen in the club again, where he stole a boat radio before leaving.

The footage from the next day (January 27th) showed Rodriguez enter the club again before stealing from their liquor room. He grabbed a crate from the kitchen to carry the bottles and took the employee's bike as he exited through the service door.

As Daytona investigated the burglary, Rodriguez broke into the yacht club again on February 3rd, 4th and 17th, stealing more bottles of liquor.

Then, on February 22nd, Daytona Beach police received a call from the manager of the Peabody Auditorium, who said they had also been burglarized.

The manager told police that around midnight, someone broke in through the exterior stage door and was seen on camera carrying a cardboard box full of liquor out of the building.

That man was later identified again as Rodriguez.

Early yesterday morning (March 3rd), police found Rodriguez around Ballough Road, wearing the same outfit he had worn each time he broke into the yacht club and Peabody.

Rodriguez was taken into custody, charged with four counts of burglary. He's currently being held at Volusia County Jail on $8,000 bond.
