Holly Hill, FL - Holly Hill police are looking for a suspect after a woman said a man punched her, knocked her to the floor, and snatched her purse inside a Walmart Neighborhood Market. Police responded to the Neighborhood Market at 1905 N. Nova Road in Holly Hill on Saturday at about 12:36 PM. Lillian Cox, of Holly Hill, said she was shopping in the bread aisle when a man approached her from behind. According to police reports, the man punched her and knocked her to the floor with enough force that her feet came completely off the floor before she fell. Cox reported that it felt like she was being punched with a brick. While Cox was on the floor, police say the man kicked her and snatched her purse and took off running toward the front of the store. When Cox got up, she tried to chase the suspect, but he took off toward the front of the store. Police reports say that security footage shows the suspect being confronted by a store customer and giving the purse to a cashier. The suspect was then confronted by an employee. That's when the man took off in the passenger's seat of a silver black-striped Dodge Charger that was waiting in the parking lot. The vehicle fled eastbound on Flomich St. A countywide BOLO was issued for the man. According to police reports, the suspect is described as a black man, approximately 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing grey sweatpants, a blue jacket, and a black do-rag over his head. Copyright Southern Stone Communications 2018.
