Ormond Beach, FL - A rollover accident in Ormond Beach on Friday night took the life of a 39-year-old man and left his 3-year-old son injured.
Jamar Fox of Crescent City was driving west on State Road 40 around 7:45 PM on May 12 when he lost control of his vehicle for an unknown reason and drifted onto the north shoulder near Pinto Ln. Fox overcorrected and the 2006 Honda SUV he was in flipped, ejecting him and his 3-year-old son from the vehicle.
Fox was pronounced dead at the scene and his son was brought to Arnold Palmer hospital where he's being treated for minor injuries. Neither Fox nor his son was wearing a seatbelt or child restraint.
The crash is under investigation and it's not known at this point if alcohol played a factor.
