Man Arrested As VCSO Investigates Bomb Threat

Deltona, FL - A man is now in custody after the Volusia County Sheriff's Office had to call in the bomb squad to deal with a reported threat in Deltona. The threat started with an anonymous phone call around 6:30 last night, directing deputies to a home on the 1900 block of North Worthington Drive, according to VCSO's Twitter feed.
"Upon arrival at the house on N. Worthington, deputies observed a man with a backpack slam the mailbox shut and run into the house," stated the VCSO Twitter feed. "There have been evacuations and traffic closures in the immediate area." VCSO tells us photos of what appeared to be some kind of cell phone bomb were also left at its District 4 headquarters, which officials believe is connected to the phone call. That facility was cleared as a precaution, as was the area surrounding the home. The standoff finally ended around 2 a.m. today.
Since then, VCSO has identified the suspect as Nicholas Licausi. He's charged with making a false report of a bomb and resisting arrest without violence.
