Man Found In NSB With Gunshot Wound To Head In Possible Homicide

New Smyrna Beach, FL - Police in New Smyrna Beach are investigating a possible homicide after a 40-year-old man died from a single gunshot wound to the head.

Police were called at around 11:30 PM on Monday about a man who was shot. When they got to the home at 1100 Julia St., they found Andre Overstreet laying on the front porch. He was unresponsive and had a single gunshot wound to his head. Overstreet was rushed to Florida Hospital via EVAC, but he was pronounced dead just a short time later.

Police interviewed neighbors who said they heard a gunshot just moments before officers arrived. Investigators say there are no witnesses or suspects at this point. The home has been taped off for evidence processing.
