Orange City, FL-Police in Orange City have charged a 32-year-old suspect in an early morning carjacking of a cab in Orange City where the woman driving had the vehicle taken at knife point. She was not hurt.
Police say the crime happened just before 5AM when Matthew Rosenblum was picked up by the cab and taken to an Orange City address. Rosenblum was identified as a former coworker of the cab driver.
Rosenblum allegedly held a knife to the woman's throat, stole the cab and took money from the victim's pocket.
He was located a short time later and police say he gave a false name. Rosenblum faces multiple charges and is being held at VCBJ on $30,500 bond.
